Both games have their good and bad sides. WoW has better PvE because it has open seamless world, day/night cycles, some weather effects and the graphics actually are good. Cartoonish look forgives technical weakness because it is normal that everything looks a bit blur anyway. There is lots of fun quests even some of them are like kill X amount of monsters or bring some stuff. When you go to a quest place, you might see others doing same quest and join them.

Town raid attempts are entertaining sometimes although it goes to the PvP side because it is random and always fun to join defending against intruders or just watch. Going hostile areas is actually dangerous because you might face opposite faction players and it force you to go there with groups. This is sometimes also the bane because high level players might camp in popular quest places, preventing to complete it unless you manage to get high level players to your side too. We know that common players can't really get organized players because they are in own guilds and dont' care about others. The player amount limit in each realm (couple thousands?) doesn't help either. Even less potential helpers.

Tried Warsong battlegrounds which had CTF goal. Most enemies were 5-8 levels higher and probably had better equipments so I had to stay backlines and cast fast DOTs to survive. Sometimes assassin came to my back from nowhere and killed. Pretty lame that you can't see them unless they attack first if they use stealth mode. Fighting is more messy than in Guild Wars and most of the time I had no clue what happens around me and what those enemies can do. Probably need more time to learn things. Heard that good players use macros to chain different skills/spells usage which is somewhat lame but when looking the amount of different functions, you really can't control all of them at optimal level. Requires less skill from the players because everyone can copy these macros and become pretty equal in their usage.

Can't really say more at this point because still using trial account and my orc warlock is at level 20 which is the limit for trial. Chat functions are mainly disabled so really hard to get into decent groups.

People like whatever they like and no game can be the best in everyone's opinion; it's pointless to try to convince them.

WoW vs. GW has been discussed too many times on guru, and they always turn into a huge flamewar. Closed.
